Tip to prevent your thumb drive (pen drive) from getting autorun computer virus

I learn this tips from a computer expert.

Recently, my thumb a computer virus: Mal_Otorun2 on my thumb drive (pen drive). Which infected from a PC from group friend whom do not know nothing about protection again virus. Luckily this virus is only Medium risk as stated by TrendMicro.

Below is the step to protect your thumb drive (pen drive) from this type of autorun computer virus:


1. Using windows notepad or any text program to create a blank file call: autorun.inf

2. Save the file to your thumb drive (pen drive).

3. Optional: make the file to become readable only if you know how to do it.


You are done and safe.

Finally, always install a good anti-virus program and must sure their virus definition file is always up-to-date.
